Smallegange recruits trainees to provide the future solicitors and partners necessary to continue our expansion. Therefore we aim to attract and retain the talented and enthusiastic individuals with a professional attitude. We expect applicants to be self-starters with a proven academic record and - preferably - some working experience. However‚ we will consider applications from mature candidates with experience in shipping‚ transportation, insurance or labour practice. The working environment at our office is pleasant with a strong emphasis on open communication. The attorneys and staff form a well-adapted team. Inexperienced attorneys obtain intensive training from experienced lawyers who will take time for the education of the inexperienced. Except for the vocational training we offer to promising attorneys the possibility to attend seminars, in the Netherlands as well as abroad, directed to our practice. The office is keen to maintain the legal know-how at a high standard, by maintaining an office knowledge-management system and regular meetings to discuss recent court decisions. Because we find that and attorney’s profession can be learnt best by exercise, inexperienced attorneys will be involved in handling matters from the start, under close supervision guidance of experienced attorneys.
